I Heart 1985

Although I should have been working on the web site layout on Saturday, I got a little side tracked turning a long sleeved silk column dress (Circa 1985) into someting a little more wearable.

After chopping the sleeves off and elasticing them to give them that extra va va voom puff, I hemmed it up to a more fashionable length at the knee (as opposed to the shin which just looked plain silly), let it out at the rump and took it in at the waist

Luckily, I got it finished just in time to wear it to dinner with my beau on Saturday night. Check out the beautiful embroidery on the front - so worth taking the time to tranform it!
